The Mod Speaks...
Now that our numbers are rising slightly (8 members wooohooo! ^^), I think I can start with a small contest. ^^ An icon contest.
Now, those of you that don't make icons are rolling your eyes and saying, "Oh great, well I can't do that."
WRONG! You can! ^^ In this contest, I accept completed icons as well as a fully described idea for an icon, including a link to the picture(s) you had in mind. Sort of like a request...but for the community. lol.
The subject: this community needs a nifty icon!
The due date: October 17, almost a month from today. I choose this day because it is the Sunday before Kenshin starts playing, and that seems like a nifty idea, as well as to give you all muchas time to come up with an idea.
Rules: There are two categories to post in: Icons and Ideas. Choose one, please, and post one contest entry as a comment to this post. The posting for this entry is screened, so please feel free to post normally, no one else can see it. ^^
Winner: When the due date comes around, I'll post another entry with the icons and ideas under separate lj-cuts. Voting shall ensue. I'll give people a week to vote. Then, the day after the first Kenshin episode (see how well-timed this is?), I shall annouce le winners and such.
Voting: I will post the two categories, Icons and Ideas, under separate lj-cuts. This gives people without icon-making ability a chance to participate and win as well! ^^ Please post your voting comment normally, as that post will also be screened. Vote for your two favorites in each category, and make sure to SAY which category is which when you list you votes, lol.
If any of this confuses you (which I imagine it might, since I just thought of it off the top of my head), ask a question and I'll answer. In fact, I'll make another entry right after this for questions, lol.
I'll go over the way to vote again when I post the voting entry, so don't worry about that for right now. Get cracking with ideas!! ^^
